In the Carmel tunnel, we installed electronic sign systems with over 120 signs, surveillance systems with over 100 cameras, installation of systems for automatic incedent detection, possessing the ability to identify objects falling from or vehicles stopping along each tunnel. In addition, we installed a video wall in the control room as well as a system of smart barriers. Working on the tunnel was especially challenging due to the need to cover and identify events throughout the entire 10 km tunnel. We overcame the problem by designing systems from Traficon and Siqura, that allow for a sophisticated infrastructure solution.

The Arazim Tunnel was an unusual challenge due to the structure of the project as a turnkey project for the entire tunnel systems FMS&TMS . The work included the electrical systems, lighting, ventilation, traffic control, electronic signs and prismatic signs (huge signs that display messages on three faces), automatic event detection and identification systems, surveillance systems, communication systems, construction of the video wall in the control room. We were required to perform an integration of all the systems, while meeting strict and tight deadlines.

The rationale for the Fast Lane is also the biggest challenge with which RS INDUSTRIES had to contend: A public transportation Lane that sells its surplus capacity to the use of private vehicles, while guaranteeing traffic at a velocity of no less than 70 km/h. The work we conducted as part of this project included the installation of a highway control system, toll system, billing system, electronic sign system, traffic surveillance system, communication system, control room and video wall.

In Ramat Gan we installed a system that controls the Jabotinsky Road - the most congested traffic thoroughfare in Israel. Until the beginning of the project, this thoroughfare suffered from serious problems of traffic regulation and communication deficiencies between the traffic light systems along the road that crosses through various cities and municipalities. The solution consisted of installing a traffic light control system manufactured by Siemens, that controls the entire thoroughfare and employs cellular communications backed by landline communication, the opposite of standard systems.

Our fruitful collaboration with Israel Roads also led to the project for the installation of cameras along intercity roads in Israel. In this capacity, the system was installed for the control, surveillance and recording of a network of VMS cameras produced by GENTEC, distributed throughout all intercity roads in the country. The system encompasses over 120 cameras deployed nationwide, with a control system, that can be observed and controlled from several different sites, and several different entities, at the same time. The entities that observe the cameras include Israel Police, Netivey Ayalon Company, Jerusalem Municipality and others.

In the course of the last decade, numerous tunnel roads have been paved in Israel, including the famous tunnels at the entrance to Jerusalem, the railway tunnels to Modiin, the Highway 6 tunnels and numerous other tunnels. These tunnels provide a transportation solution for traffic traveling over a complex landscape, including unique natural conditions. The tunnel solution minimizes the impact on nature caused as a result of the creation of a new road. The excavation of tunnels calls for meticulous planning, including intelligent and controlled signs for traffic control, passengers, passenger control, utilization of ventilation systems, lighting systems, advanced camera systems, barriers, traffic lights, fuel control and the backing up of all systems using UPS generators. Electronic signs on roads
Electronic road signs render it possible to offer warnings concerning hazards and anticipated traffic problems on highways. The advanced electronic signs are updated in real-time and change according to the relevant information, while directing traffic Celeste to ensure uniform and rapid flow, minimizing unnecessary congestion, opening throughways and preventing traffic jams during peak hours.

Pneumatic Tube systems
Mail between departments and laboratories at hospitals and offices. The transfer of items from one place to another at public institutions, organizations and large plants has never been so easy. A pneumatic mail system is based on pneumatic (air pressure) tubes that are installed between different senders and recipients of the mail within the same building. The mail items are transferred inside a special cylinder, with a diameter of up to 30 cm and a maximum weight of 27 kg. This system renders it possible to send mail rapidly, the speed of up to 6 meters per second, while ensuring maximum security. Pneumatic mail systems offer savings in time and human resources and guarantee the arrival of the shipment at its precise destination, while optimally protecting the sent product from any potential damage.

Toll and billing systems
Smart toll and billing systems allow for the perfect flow of traffic and the mailing of the payment demand, or receipt, directly to the mailbox of the drivers, or via direct payment using credit cards. This is accomplished without impairing the enjoyment of rapid unencumbered traffic. The vehicles are identified by scanning the license plate or by using a dedicated GPS device for the highway. Billing is conducted according to an organized method, either through a monthly subscription or according to an agreed-upon fee, based on road sections, hours, etc.
